Abstract
Objetive. To determine the relationship between the motivational climate, the goal orientations and the physical ability perceived with the practice of sports by children in the fifth grade of primary school at the Agustiniano school in Salitre - Bogotá 2019. Materials and methods. Mixed research whose elements are qualitative and quantitative, a battery of 3 questionnaires was applied that evidenced the existing relationship of the present study through the Weiss, Bredemeier and Shewchuk Scale of Motivational Orientation in Sport and the Ryckman Scale of Perceived Physical Ability. Study population made up of 146 boys and girls, practicing sports (volleyball, basketball in teams and swimming as an individual activity). Statistic analysis. program (IBM SPSS 15.0) and to study the validity and reliability of the questionnaires, Cronbach's Alpha was used. Results. physical ability 0.536; goal orientations 0.927; perceived motivational climate 0.856 according to data from the questionnaires. Conclusions. The positive relationship between the variables studied and the development of physical activity were based on the orientation of the task superior to the ego in the study population. The non-existence of significant differences in the study variables managed to determine the objective.
